I flat-out love Finn. His physical ticks and anxious energy, his hick accent, his uncertainty, his selfless love for Gracie, all of it. He's adorable. Trent has a way of writing atypical, sweetly vulnerable heroes who are still tough. With the exception of Scion (whom I hated), all of her wolves fit this description. I hope one day she writes the story of Alpha and his mate.Gracie is only okay. As complex and consistent as Finn is, she's less so. First of all, in the first chapter, she seems like a kind-hearted, slightly naive 18 year-old who doesn't realize that Finn always finds her because he is in love. She seems surprised that he wants to help her at work and then have coffee and see a movie with her rather than run with the pack. Because Finn expects so little from Gracie, he doesn't make any move and she is oblivious to his emotions, at least in her thoughts during this chapter. I thought it was so sweet and I looked forward to her realization that Finn's gone for her.
But in the next chapter, BOOM, Gracie drags Finn into a dark room and shoves her tongue down his throat and her boobs in his face. I was as surprised as Finn! Turns out she's quite the experienced 18 year-old, incredibly confident when it comes to asking for what she wants in bed. This seems inconsistent with her initial internal dialogue and also, given her extreme youth (I'm old enough that 18 seems like a baby), rather unbelievable. In bed she seemed more like a character from Sex in the City than a sheltered teenager.
Despite this criticism, I still enjoyed the story of Finn and Gracie. After her sudden personality change, she's the same girl for the rest of the novella. Together, she and Finn make sense.

I've enjoyed all of the Norseton books up until now, but this one is my favorite. Finn is just so damn adorable and I found myself wanting to slap everyone but Finn and Gracie.
Plot doesn't seem consistent with the character's age/experience. Both characters are very young, so when the girl drags him off to have sex, it seemed very contrived. Other than that, a nice story. Wish the rest were KU because they are short and not really worth $$. I bought this one with slow shipping rebates.
Very sweet. Again, great characters.
The couple was too young for me so I literally could not care less.
Loved this story in this series too! "Somebody to want me" that's all he wanted and she wanted somebody to want.
Argh! Choices it's all about choosing whom you want to love.
Love this series! Loved Finn and Gracie's story. Finn Stilton, brother of Christine Denis (Beast, book 1) and Graciella Madesto, sister to Lisa Baylor ( Idler, book 3) were both brought to the Norseton Pack at the request of their siblings. Finn is from an Appalachian back woods pack that kicked him out at age 16, 10 year before. He has been surviving doing odd jobs and banding up with male wolves in the same situation. His wolf is excitable and restless so many are uncomfortable around him. He is calmed when he is around Gracie. Gracie is 18 and from a suburban pack, with an abusive Alpha, and is not afraid of Finn and enjoys his company. This is a sweet love story between to very different people who complete each other.
This is the fifth book in the Norseton Wolves series. Graciella Modesto is 18 years old, she's Lisa's (Idler) younger sister and new to the pack. Lisa brought her two little sisters to Norseton so they wouldn't be forced to take horrible mates in their old pack. Lisa doesn't want her sisters to mate until they are much older so they can make something of themselves before they settle down. Finn Stilton is 25 years old, he's Christina's (Beast) older brother and they haven't seen each other in years. Finn was kicked out of his pack when he was 15 years old because his Alpha felt threatened by him. He's not used to people helping him and being there for him so he was surprised when Adam (Norseton's Alpha) tracked him down and brought him there. Finn really likes Graciella and he likes being near her because she makes him feel calm. Graciella wants Finn and she's determined to get him even if it pisses off her sister, Lisa.
